Getting Google reviews from patients is very important for your dental practice. We have discussed why online reviews matter for dentists in a previous blog post. In this post, we are going to demonstrate an easy and free method for how dentists can get more Google Reviews from patients without spending any money on a 3rd party service.
A dental practice I know started doing this two months ago and has gotten 26 five star reviews from Google in that time. Follow these instructions carefully and you will be able to replicate their success as well.
Go to your Google Business Profile. Scroll down until you see a box that says “Get more reviews”. Underneath that it will say “Share review form”, click on that link. The screen should pop up like shown below in the screenshot. You want to copy that link.
Open this link – https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/ – and paste the link from your Google Business Profile where it says, “Enter URL”. Just to the right of that place on the page is an image of a QR code. You can download the image as a PNG (by clicking on the arrow pointing down), or you can copy the image on your clipboard. The screenshot below shows you the area to look for downloading or copying to clipboard in the red rectangle.
Open a word or Google document. Place the QR code on the document as well as any other language you would like to include. You may want to place your dental practice logo or name on it as well. Be sure to include a Call to Action, such as “If you are pleased with your experience, leave us a review on Google!”
Make sure the QR code works for you when you use your phone’s camera. It should take you to the desired link where a review can be written for your dental practice on Google’s Business Profile listing.
Make copies of the word document and place them around the office and/or hand them out at the end of an appointment. It may be as simple as this:
That’s all there is to it. You’re done.
This is a simple way for your to increase your amount of Google reviews with just a little bit of effort. Assign this task to your marketing director, office manager, or front desk.
If you need some convincing about why you should do it, consider the following:
- Positive reviews make patients feel comfortable about choosing your dental practice.
- Patients trust online reviews as much, if not more than personal referrals from friends and family members.
- A recent study found that 88% of consumers read online reviews before making a purchase decision.
- Online reviews can help your dental practice attract new patients.
- Positive online reviews can also help you retain current patients.
- The best way to deal with negative reviews is to drown them out in a sea of positive reviews.
As you can see, getting Google reviews from patients is a very important part of having a successful dental practice. Additionally, as we have demonstrated, getting positive reviews for your dental practice is quite easy.
